Body Image

You’ll see a slightly different approach to some of the posts going on this week. It’s something that I wish more people involved in the Fitness industry talked about. Body image and acceptance.

Over the years of training clients and battling with my own weight loss, I’ve learned that the majority of people trying to lose weight also struggle with self image issues that often lead to depression. These same feelings usually lead to some form of binge eating, and furthermore weight gain.

There’s two things that I can guarantee about health and fitness:

  1. If you are severely overweight, losing weight will absolutely make you healthier and lead to a longer and better quality of life.

  2. Losing a lot of weight doesn’t necessarily equate to happiness and better body image.

Learn to love and accept your body no matter where you are in your fitness journey and know that you are not the only one struggling with these issues ♥️.
