Discipline over motivation

Good post for #tbt. I went to take the pic to renew my passport today. Needless to say it makes for a good before and after pic.

200lbs lost didn’t happen overnight, and it didn’t happen until I was sick of my own bullshit. Didn’t happen until the “I’m too tired” “I don’t have time” “I’m too fat” “I can’t” and every excuse went out the window. It didn’t happen until I distance myself from a lifestyle filled with partying, killing bottles, and binge eating.

I get plenty of messages from people that tell me that I motivate them. But what exactly have I motivated you to do besides hit a like button?

Motivation doesn’t go very long, because you’re not going to feel motivated every day. Find your why, the reason you want to be healthier and workout, and then make that reason stronger than your excuses.

I wasn’t motivated and still am not motivated to train everyday. I’m just a guy with a lot of discipline, and a work ethic that gets him to reach his goals, each and every time.
